Alcohol

Just like everything else alcohol isn’t so bad as long as you consume it within the moderate consumption amounts. Many people are not aware of what the consequences are if they drink over the recommended limits. Some examples can be anxiety, slow breathing and heartbeat, impaired judgement causing accidents and injuries and many more.

Obesity can be easily associated with drinking excess amounts of alcohol.

A hang over can be the worse feeling ever which can last for a few days. As well as experiencing nausea, stomach upset and headaches it causes dry skin. Bad behaviour is common when drunk because alcohol is a depressant not a stimulant, so the next day one can feel guilty and low wondering what happened the night before.

Just think about this fact: alcohol itself is responsible for 33,000 deaths in the UK each year. This is due to reckless driving and fights in the streets because many people under the influence of alcohol do not know how they are behaving.

Another issue is the health of people. Liver disease can be one major illness for heavy drinkers. One third of the adult population is drinking enough alcohol to develop liver disease. Did you know alcohol is only second to smoking as a risk factor for oral and digestive tract cancers???
